Job Description
Howden Roots (HRO) with a manufacturing operation based in Connersville, Indiana for over 160 years and an Industrial Leader in the manufacture, sale, distribution, and service of Rotary and Centrifugal Blowers, Compressors, and Controls is seeking candidates for the position of Manufacturing Engineer with CNC Programming skills preferred.

The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Engineer is to develop manufacturing processes within their scope of authority (in this position the authority will start with a large centrifugal project). The position develops processes, provides training and documentation to satisfy the requirements of a project or product while the goal is always continuous improvement of manufacturing processes with regard to safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

The position supports production by solving problems associated with manufacturing processes and provides technical expertise to CNC Machinists (CNC Programming skills are therefore preferred for the position), as well as providing technical expertise to other Operators, Product Engineers, etc. The ability to perform CNC Programming skills using Master Cam and/or Concepts software up to 5 Axis Programming is preferred.

The position requires prior experience using state-of-the-art manufacturing concepts such as just-in-time, root cause analysis and problem solving, as well as experience developing tooling solutions - both cutting tools and fixtures as needed. The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or some other related technical degree with at least 3 to 5 years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
